Frank Garner
President & Treasurer - ABS Board
A lifelong Kalispell resident, Frank Garner has dedicated his career to serving, protecting, and strengthening the community he calls home. A graduate of Flathead High School and Flathead Valley Community College, Frank began his public service career with the Kalispell Police Department in the mid-1980s. Over more than two decades, he served in numerous leadership roles, including patrol officer, drug task force agent, SWAT Team Leader, detective, and ultimately Chief of Police. He also spent a year in Afghanistan training and mentoring law enforcement personnel.
Following his distinguished law enforcement career, Frank joined Northwest Healthcare (now Logan Health), where he served for nearly a decade as a department manager and Chief of Security.
Frank’s dedication to community service extends far beyond his professional career. He has been actively involved with several organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Rotary, the Lions Club, and ABS Park.
He also served four terms in the Montana House of Representatives, where he worked to strengthen communities across the state.
Today, Frank continues to apply his leadership experience through consulting and community development, where he helps spearhead facility improvements, local partnerships, and the Academy's long-term vision.
As a vital member of the Academy’s leadership group, Frank is committed to creating opportunities for young athletes to develop not only as baseball players, but also leaders, teammates, and citizens. His lifelong commitment to service, mentorship, and community building provides a strong foundation as Sluggers Academy continues its mission of developing athletes throughout the Flathead Valley and beyond.
