Chris Gillette

Founder & President

Chris Gillette has devoted more than 25 years to the game of baseball as a player, coach, mentor, and program leader. A Montana native, Chris starred for the Missoula Mavericks, helping lead the program to three Montana State Championships (1991, 1994, 1995). In 1994, he was named the Topps Montana Baseball Player of the Year.

Chris continued his career at the College of Southern Idaho, where he earned All-Region honors before transferring to UNLV. Following college, he pursued professional opportunities with the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres before a shoulder injury ended his playing career.

His passion for the game quickly led him into coaching, beginning as a Graduate Assistant at the College of Southern Nevada and later as an assistant coach with Chaparral Legion Baseball. Over the past 20 years, Chris has helped develop athletes at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels, emphasizing not only baseball fundamentals but also character, discipline, accountability, and teamwork.

In 2019, Chris founded the Kalispell Sluggers with the vision of creating the premier baseball program in the Flathead Valley. In that span of time, the organization has grown into one of the region’s most respected programs, helping players improve their skills and pursue opportunities at the next level.



A longtime member of the Flathead Valley community, Chris is also the owner and operator of Fatt Boys Bar and Casino in Kalispell. Through both his business and baseball endeavors, he has consistently supported local schools, youth programs, and charitable organizations. 

Chris and his wife, Rebecca, are the proud parents of two children, Ryne and Bella, and remain committed to giving back to the community they call home.
